RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — There is a tower in downtown Raleigh made out of recycle cans. It is actually the Swords to Plowshares memorial, which serves as a place for people to commemorate how they’ve been affected by war.
For the last year it has traveled the country, hearing thousands of stories.
For the last seven days, Roger Erlick, one of the creators of the tower, has sat for hours outside the state Capitol, talking to dozens who stopped by.
Eurlich said the goal is to honor anyone in the world affected by war, and hopefully to end war altogether.
