Fayetteville man arrested on rape, forcible sex offense charges

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Fayetteville police have arrested and charged a man in connection with a rape investigation that dates back to August.

Willie Mack, 55, of the 100 block of Hammond Street in Fayetteville, has been arrested and charged with first-degree forcible rape, two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, two counts of first-degree forcible sex offense, and possession of a firearm by felon.

Mack’s charges also include those from a separate incident that occurred earlier in November in Cumberland County, police said.

Mack was found and arrested by the department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team. He is currently being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $500,000 secured bond.
