Police find 2 dead at home in Fuquay-Varina subdivision

UPDATE: Wake County husband and wife dead; 2 young daughters safe

FUQUAY-VARINIA, N.C. (WNCN) — Police heard shots fired, then found two people dead in a Fuquay-Varina home Friday night.

Officers arriving at a home on McLaurin Lane discovered that the rear door had been forced open and “immediately heard shots fired,” according to a news release from the Fuquay-Varina Police Department.

Inside, they found two bodies, police said.

A police presence remains in the subdivision, and the case is still being investigated.
