DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – Two people were arrested in Louisiana in connection with a 17-year-old’s murder in Durham on Nov. 1.
According to police, 17-year-old Demoraea Fennell was shot at 412 E. Pilot St. at the Eagle Point apartment complex just before 3:15 a.m.
Fennell was in the hospital with life-suffering injuries but later died, police confirmed.
Jaquinta Antanette Cole, 25, and Nikee Lamar Black, 26, were arrested Monroe, Louisiana in relation to Fennell’s death.
Cole was arrested and charged with murder and felony conspiracy. She is being held in the Durham County Jail without bond.
Black was charged with felony conspiracy. He was also arrested on a parole violation.
He is in Durham County Jail without bond.
The shooting was not random, police said.
