FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A Fayetteville man has been charged in a rape that officials say happened in October.
The investigation into the case began on Oct. 16 and involved a victim who was “an acquaintance” of the suspect, Fayetteville Police said Tuesday.
Jeremy McNeil-Redd, 25, of the 500 block of Cutchen Lane in Fayetteville is charged with second-degree rape.
McNeil-Redd was taken into custody by the Fayetteville Police Violent Criminal Apprehension Team without incident.
He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $250,000 secured bond.
No other information was provided by police.
