Victim shot in Fayetteville robbery following card game

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – One person was robbed and another shot in the leg when an armed suspect entered a Fayetteville residence just after a card game early Tuesday, police said.

Several people were taking part in a card game in a residence in the 1900 block of Blake Street during the early morning hours Tuesday. Some at the residence left once the card game was over, police said.

Around 6:40 a.m., an armed person entered the home and robbed one person of person property. A resident was shot in the leg, police said.

The shooting victim ran to a neighboring residence and was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

He is listed in good condition, police said.
