The DOJ alleges Jamie Blunder, a TSA officer at Charlotte Douglas Airport, was the leader of the network and used it to distribute narcotics. Blunder used his position at the airport to avoid suspicion while traveling to Greensboro, High Point and Jamestown, according to an affidavit.

The DOJ listed the eight suspects arrested in a release sent on Tuesday:

  • Jamie Blunder, 48, of Charlotte
  • David Pate, 44, of High Point
  • Alafia Fowlkes, 42, of Jamestown
  • Samuel Little, 58, of Greensboro
  • Irvin Lampley, 56, of Greensboro
  • Aaron Dixon, 40, of Greenville
  • Cameron Roberts, 29, of Greensboro
  • Dennis Harrington, 47, of Greensboro

A ninth person included in the ring, Willie Nevius, 48, of Greensboro, hasn’t been arrested yet.

Since at least December 2015, the group allegedly acted as a drug conspiracy responsible for trafficking cocaine, marijuana and other substances in Charlotte and Greensboro.

Law enforcement also seized eight guns, at least two kilograms of cocaine and more than $150,000 in cash.

The TSA said in a statement:

TSA does not tolerate illegal, unethical or immoral conduct. When such conduct is alleged, TSA investigates it thoroughly. When appropriate, TSA investigates jointly with other law enforcement agencies or requests that a law enforcement authority investigate the allegation. When an investigation finds that misconduct has occurred, the appropriate action is taken.”
