RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Goldsboro police have charged a woman with murder, saying that her husband was not assaulting her — as they had earlier believed — when she shot him.

Instead, Sudon Williams, 28, was arguing with his wife, 24-year-old Christina Williams, when she shot him on Nov. 11, according to police.

Goldsboro police obtained a warrant to arrest Christina Williams, of 400 E. Benton St., Goldsboro, for murder on Thursday, officials said. She’s being held without bond and is due in court on Monday.
