Police investigate bus crash in south Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Raleigh police are on scene of an incident involving a school bus Friday near the intersection of Cross Link Road and Herndon Village Way.

The call originally came in around 5:10 p.m. as an accident and then was reported as a shooting. Police said officers have been on scene and have yet to confirm a shooting occurred.

No students were on the bus at the time of the crash. Wake County School officials confirm it was a school bus.

A woman police believe was driving the bus has been taken to WakeMed for treatment.

Raleigh police are investigating the reasons behind the crash.
