Firefighters battle Fayetteville apartment blaze

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Investigators are still working to determine what caused an apartment fire in Fayetteville Saturday morning.

At 2:45 a.m., crews were called to 405-56A Caracas Ct. in the Cambridge Arms Apartment complex off of N. McPherson Church Road. Upon arrival, the first arriving engine company noted that heavy fire conditions were visible from the first floor of a two-story apartment building. All occupants were evacuated from the apartment building.

The fire was extinguished by the Fayetteville Fire & Emergency Management Department. The fire was confined to one apartment with smoke and water damage to other apartments in the building.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.
