FORT BRAGG, N.C. (WNCN) — Dozens of Fort Bragg soldiers will spend the holidays away from their families.
Soldiers with the First Sustainment Command, 14th Human Resources hugged and kissed their loved ones Tuesday night as they left for a mission in the Middle East.
CBS North Carolina talked with one family who said the separation is going to be difficult.
Georgiana Monroe, wife of PFC Monroe, said that this is their first deployment and that it’s going to be hard, especially because it’s so close to the holidays.
The soldiers are expected to be deployed for about nine months.
