FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation helped take Hurricane Matthew off the minds of kids in Fayetteville.
On Tuesday, Santa Claus also stopped by but he traded in his sled for a Navy C-130, courtesy of the Blue Angels.
“It’s special in lots of ways, you know? This time of year, people’s thoughts do turn to sharing, to being concerned about others, to do good things,” said Pete Osman, president and CEO at Toys for Tots Foundation.
In all, about 50 pallets of toys and books were delivered to sites affected by Matthew.
“For us to be able again to team up with the Blue Angels, to help bring toys and books to those who have been devastated by the hurricane is really very, very special for us,” Osman said.
