KNIGHTDALE, N.C. (WNCN) — Police have formally charged a man in the wake of a Nov. 10 shooting in a Knightdale parking lot, officials announced Wednesday.
After consulting with district attorney’s office, police charged Christopher A. Reives, 27, of Red Ruby Lane in Raleigh, with assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injuries, authorities said.
Reives had a monetary dispute with Darrick McKayban, which led to an argument, which led to Reives shooting McKayban, police said.
McKayban’s injuries were non-life-threatening, police said.
Reives is under a $5,000 secured bond, police said.
