Fayetteville police ask public to help identify bank robber

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Fayetteville police are asking the public to help them identify a bank robber who took money from the First Citizens Bank at 3604 Ramsey Street late Monday morning.

The man walked into the business wearing white gloves, sunglasses and a hat, “entered the business and went to the teller as if he was a customer,” Fayetteville police said.

The man passed a note to the teller demanding money, the teller gave the man money and the man fled, according to police.

The man was black and was wearing a black coat, black hat, white gloves, white shades and burgundy pants, according to police.

Police are looking at the incident to see if it’s related to another November robbery of a Fayetteville First Citizens Bank.
