One dead, one rescued after boat capsizes at NC coast

BEAUFORT, N.C. (WNCT) – One person is dead and another was rescued after a boat capsized in the Beaufort Inlet by Fort Macon Creek around 10 a.m. Monday, according to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.

Wildlife Resources Officer Tyler Ingle, who is investigating the incident, said a recreational boat capsized with two people on board.

One person drowned, while the other was rescued by a good Samaritan with assistance from the U.S. Coast Guard and Sea Tow.

The names of the individuals involved have not been release
