Woman tries to rob SC drive-thru, has window shut on her hands, police say

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) – Conway Police arrested a Green Sea woman for robbing a store on Thanksgiving Day.

According to a press release, Kimberly Dawn Bruton, 29, robbed Jimmy G’s on Church Street Thursday afternoon.

Police said Bruton approached the drive-thru window around 5:45 p.m. and demanded money from the cashier. According to a police report, the cashier slammed the window on Bruton’s hands causing her to run from the scene.

She was later a captured by police and was charged with armed robbery.

Bruton is currently being held at the J Reuben Long Detention Center.
