Deputies worried missing NC mom and teen daughter might be in danger

EVERETTS, N.C. (WNCT) – A woman and her daughter have gone missing and could be in danger, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said Dawn Elizabeth Ward, 40, and her daughter Taylor Lynn Carroll, 14, went missing from the Robert Taylor Road area of Everetts in Martin County on Monday.

The Sheriff’s Office said evidence has surfaced causing concern for Ward and Carroll’s safety and welfare.

Ward is described at 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 180 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing red, black and white fleece pants, a red pajama top and Sperry shoes.

Carroll is described at 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 132 pounds with brown eyes and red/brown hair. She was last seen wearing jean shorts and a green T-shirt.
