GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — A Goldsboro man has been arrested and charged with stealing thousands of dollars worth of bagged dog food and deer corn from an animal feed mill, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said.
Matthew Alan Williams, 29, of 409 Johnson Branch Road, was arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering, felonious larceny after breaking and/or entering, and felony possession of stolen goods/property.
According to the sheriff’s office, the president of Coker Feed Mill, Riley Coker Jr., filed a report alleging that dog food and deer corn had been stolen from the mill on various dates and at various times. The total value of the product stolen is estimated to be around $3,000.
Williams was identified as the person responsible for the thefts and was arrested without incident, the sheriff’s office said.
He is currently being held on a $15,000 unsecured bond.
