RDU International Airport’s power restored following outage

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Duke Energy said an off site issue knocked out power to parts of Raleigh-Durham International Airport Tuesday afternoon.

The Utility’s outage map showed outages at RDU and down Glenwood Avenue to Duraleigh Road around 3:45 p.m.

Duke Energy said damage to transmission lines has cut power to the airport.

The airport was running on backup generators until power was restored around 4:25 p.m.

CBS North Carolina will update this story as more information becomes available.
