SPRING LAKE, N.C. (WNCN) — Spring Lake police are looking for two men charged with first-degree murder and are considered to be armed and dangerous, the department announced.
Spring Lake detectives obtained outstanding warrants for first-degree murder charges on Glenn “Unique” Warren, 31, and Devante Shamar “Flip” Watson, 18, in connection with a Nov. 5 murder.
Watson and Warren are wanted for the murder of Devonte Squan Tart, 24, of Dunn. Tart was found shot to death behind a vacant apartment building on King Street in Spring Lake around 2:30 p.m. Police said he had been killed before his body was dumped behind the building.
Police said the murder was not random and Tart knew the suspects.
The investigation is ongoing and police expect more arrests in the case.
No motive has been determined, but detectives believe it could be gang-related.
