Police ask public to help identify pedestrian killed in Fayetteville crash

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Police are asking the public to help them identify a woman who died after being hit by a vehicle Thursday afternoon on Morganton Road near the Murray Fork Drive intersection in Fayetteville.

Around 3:20 p.m., the pedestrian was attempting to cross Morganton Road when she was hit by a westbound vehicle, police said.

She was to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, but died.

Police describe her as an Asian woman about 4 feet 8 inches tall, wearing blue jeans and blue and white shoes.

The driver involved was not injured, police said.

Anyone with information about the woman’s identity is asked to call Fayetteville police Sgt. R. Silverest at (910) 723-5816 or Crimestoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477). Crimestoppers information can also be submitted online or by texting “4tip” followed by the tip to 274637.
