BETHLEHEM, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police arrested a woman they say was stealing a large amount of New York State scratch-off lottery tickets.
Police say Misty Cipperly, 43, of Cohoes, New York, stole the tickets while working at the Delmar Hannaford store over the course of several months.
Cipperly is then accused of cashing the tickets at various stores in the Capital District.
Police are still determining the exact amount of tickets and winning Cipperly obtained. So far, police say the combined face value of the tickets and winnings is more than $50,000.
Cipperly was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree grand larceny.
Cipperly was arraigned and was remanded to Albany County Correctional Facility for lack of $15,000 jail.
The incident is still under investigation.
