DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Durham police have arrested a third person in connection with the November murder of a 17-year-old boy who was found shot in an apartment complex parking lot.
Police arrested Jose Anthony Morales, 50, of Durham, and charged him with murder in connection Demoraea Fennell’s death.
According to police, Fennell was shot at 412 E. Pilot St. at the Eagle Point apartment complex just before 3:15 a.m. on Nov. 1.
Fennell was in the hospital with life-suffering injuries but later died, police confirmed.
Jaquinta Antanette Cole, 25, and Nikee Lamar Black, 26, were arrested Monroe, Louisiana, in relation to Fennell’s death.
Cole was arrested and charged with murder and felony conspiracy.
Black was charged with felony conspiracy. He was also arrested on a parole violation.
Cole, Black and Morales are all being held in Durham County Jail under no bond, police said.
