FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Cell phone store workers were locked in a bathroom during an armed robbery of the Fayetteville business Saturday night, police say.

The incident happened around 10:45 p.m. at the T-Mobile store at 4103 Raeford Road, according to an email from police.

The robbery happened after two men entered the store just as workers were getting ready to close for the night.

“The suspects were armed with a handgun and immediately threatened the employees and ordered them to lie on the ground,” police said. “ The suspects then made demands for one of the employees to relinquish money from the business.”

After the men got the money, they locked the workers in a bathroom and then fled.

Police described the men as black who were 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches in height.  One of the suspects wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, multi-colored pants and red/white shoes.  The second suspect was described as wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
