Durham gunman flees in vehicle after shooting man in arm, deputies say

 

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A gunman fled in a vehicle after shooting a man in the arm in Durham Sunday afternoon, deputies say.

The incident happened on Melanie Street in Durham around 3:20 p.m., the Durham County Sheriff’s Office said in an email.

“According to a preliminary investigation, one man was wounded and taken to the hospital for treatment of an arm wound,” deputies said.

The gunman then drove off in “what appeared to be a gray-colored vehicle,” officials said.
