Man driven to hospital after Raleigh nightclub shooting

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Raleigh police officers are investigating a shooting early Sunday that sent one man to the hospital.

Around 1:10 a.m. officers responded to WakeMed to answer a call about a walk-in gunshot wound victim.  The gunshot victim, a 28-year-old man, came to the hospital in a privately-owned vehicle, police said.

Officers were able to trace the shooting location to the Ego Raleigh nightclub at 3210 Yonkers Road.

Officials believe the incident occurred in a parking lot, but the victim was not in a vehicle.

The victim suffered non life-threatening injuries in the shooting.
