GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — A Goldsboro woman was arrested Saturday after deputies say they found drugs in her car and then “on her person” in jail.
The incident happened on Saturday during a traffic stop on Wayne Memorial Drive, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said in an email.
“A vehicle search was conducted resulted in the seizure of dozens of Percocet and Oxycodone pills, several grams of crack cocaine, marijuana and U.S. currency,” deputies said.
Yolanda Renee Lewis, 33, of the 100 block of Emmitte Street in Goldsboro was charged with trafficking in opiates, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine on jail premises and driving while license revoked.
Lewis was taken to the Wayne County Detention Center and held on $57,000 bond.
However, once Lewis was inside the jail, another two grams of cocaine was found “hidden on her person,” deputies said.
