The car went nearly all the way inside Fred Chason’s Grandsons Buffet at 5339 Marracco Drive in Hope Mills.

By 3:20 p.m., the white Chevrolet sedan was still stuck inside the restaurant.

The incident happened after a flatbed tractor-trailer was parked across the street and was left unattended, a co-owner of the buffet told CBS North Carolina.

“When he got out of the truck … the truck started rolling, rolled out of the parking lot, across Marracco (Drive) and through the parking lot and into the back of the white car,” said Sheryl Warga, a co-owner of the restaurant.

No one was in the parked car at the time of the crash.

“The table that was sitting right in front of the window where it went in, they had just gotten up and left,” Warga said.

“Nobody was hurt, thank God for that,” she said.
