TIME LAPSE: Franklin Street fills after Tar Heels win national title

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) – Franklin Street went from empty to packed in no time when UNC beat Gonzaga Monday night for the 2017 national championship.

Thousands filled the streets where fire were lit and a couch was passed around by the crowd.

The Tar Heels beat the Bulldogs 71-65 to win UNC’s sixth national title.
