RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – CBS North Carolina’s Sharon Tazewell had the honor of emceeing the Raleigh Rescue Mission’s “Hearts of Hope” benefit luncheon Friday.
The event looked to raise funds to benefit homeless women and children.
N.C. State Athletic Director Debbie Yow was in attendance and spoke to the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel crowd.
Women and children who have benefited from living at the Mission also told their success stories.
The Raleigh Rescue Mission has a long-term residential program, as well as emergency overnight services. They shelter about 105 women and children each day.
The Raleigh Rescue Mission is located at 314 E. Hargett St. in downtown.
