Stray bullet hits pipe in Durham apartment, causing flooding

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – Police responded to a call of shots fired at Durham apartments early Sunday morning.

The incident happened at McDougald Terrace apartments in the 1100 block of Wabash Street.


Police say the shooting happened around 4 a.m. and no one was injured.

However, at least one bullet hit a pipe causing flooding inside a building.

The apartment where the shooting happened had what appeared to be a bullet hole in a window on Sunday morning, according to a CBS North Carolina reporter.

The shooting remains under investigation.
