1 killed, 2 injured in Southeast Raleigh shooting, police say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A 20-year-old was killed and two other people were injured in a shooting Thursday afternoon on Bowman Lane.

Police responded to the 2000 block of Bowman Lane around 3:15 p.m. in response to a report of a shooting.


When officers arrived on scene they found two adult males who had been shot. Both were transported to WakeMed for treatment. A third male was taken to WakeMed by private vehicle, police said.

One of the shooting victims, Tyquez Elfthaniel Mann, 20, died as a result of his injuries. Police said the two other wounded men suffered non-life threatening injuries and are expected to survive.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
