Fayetteville State University closed Friday due to power outage

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Fayetteville State University will be closed and classes canceled Friday due to a campus-wide power outage, the school said.

The University will be closed for non-essential employees.

Equipment that connects the campus to PWC’s high voltage system failed Thursday afternoon. The parts needed to resolve the issued must be ordered.

The cafeteria will observe normal summer operating hours.

The school did not have an immediate timeline on when power will be restored.
