FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was hit by an SUV and killed in Fayetteville Wednesday night, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
According to police, the pedestrian, identified as 40-year-old Kevin D Brown, of Fayetteville, was crossing Skibo Road around 9:15 p.m. when a person driving a Ford Expedition northeast on Skibo Road near the All American Expressway overpass hit the person.
Brown was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not injured, police said. The driver is not being identified because they are not facing any charges at this time.
The collision is under investigation. Police did not say if charges were pending or not.
Skibo Road was closed in both directions for several hours following the incident. It has since reopened.
