Man charged after crashing into NC home, killing occupant

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Charges have now been filed against a man whose car crashed into a house in Winston-Salem and killed a man living in the home.

Multiple media outlets reported that 37-year-old Quante Hashim Rucker of Winston-Salem has been charged with felony death by motor vehicle.

Police say Rucker crashed into a home shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday and killed 56-year-old Tommy Leon Curry of Winston-Salem.

Rucker is being held in the Forsyth County jail. It was not clear if he has an attorney.

He is scheduled to appear in court July 30.
