February 22: Unseasonably Warm Weather Continues

WEATHER Yet another day of record-setting warmth is setting up for central North Carolina — yesterday’s high of 77 set a new record at RDU, as did the 81 degree high in Fayetteville. Like the past couple of days, some low cloud cover and fog will take a little while to dissipate, but once it does our temperatures will be off to the races: Today’s record high in the Triangle is 75, set back in 1897 — 121 years ago!
