A total of 31 victims were identified during the investigation and were moved to be heard together under one jurisdiction in Wayne County.
Police responded to the 600 block of Second Street after hearing several gunshots, officials said.
The Sheriff’s Office said he was armed with a gun, had something covering his face and demanded money from the victims.
Officers searched 35 homes for suspects who were possibly violating probation.
The list of items taken includes a $13,500 platinum wedding ring.
He’s being held on $250,000 bond.
“The victims reported being sexually assaulted multiple times over a six-year period,” police said in a news release.
The search yielded two firearms, marijuana, and marijuana paraphernalia, according to Wayne County Sheriff Larry Pierce.
Dearron Strickland, 23, of Goldsboro was charged in connection with the death of Robert Baymon, police said.
The attacks are happening on Highway 111 from Dollard Town Road to Indian Springs Road.
